Fantastic support continues for DocBike Sussex!
The team from DocBike Sussex have certainly been busy engaging with businesses and motorcyclists across the region over the past few months. Regional Lead, John Allsopp, provides an update on the fantastic support that they have received recently.
Sussex Independent Financial Advisers donate AED defibrillator to DocBike!
Our sincere thanks go to Sussex Independent Financial Advisers based in Hailsham, who have donated an iPad Saver NF1200 Semi-Automatic AED Defibrillator to be carried on the DocBike Sussex motorcycle.
This is a perfect example of the support that local businesses can provide to the charity in helping to save lives, not only amongst the motorcycling fraternity but to the people of Sussex in general. The AED is constantly on board the engagement bike and the riders are fully trained to use this critical piece of equipment if their help should be needed.
All of the Sussex team would like to express their profound gratitude to Sussex Independent Financial Services for their public spirit and support.
A fantastic day of engagement at ‘Ride of the Ruperts’
The DocBike Sussex team were delighted to attend this year’s Ride of the Ruperts motorcycle ride out, which was raising funds in aid of Whizz-Kidz charity.
Approximately 250 riders met at the Milk Churn Café before setting off through some of Sussex’s glorious countryside, villages and towns, whilst also providing ample opportunity to greet delighted onlookers with a “Tally Ho!” and a cheery wave!
This year the ride finished with a private party, food and live music at the prestigious Gun Hill Studios and provided Sussex Regional Lead John, with a fantastic opportunity to engage with those participating in the ride out.
John did arrive at the planned destination a little after the main group, after stopping en route to help an injured cyclist.
What a fantastic day of fundraising and engagement supported by DocBike Sussex. Our thanks go to the organisers of Ride of the Ruperts for their invitation to this year’s event.
