Devon is one of the newest regions to join DocBike, meet the team below!
Riders
Ian Robins
Ian has over 35 years riding experience, a passionate sports bike rider, Isle of Man TT Marshall, DVSA Enhanced Rider Scheme trainer and CBT instructor and IAM Advanced rider. Ian had a 25-year career in TV current affairs as a camera operator and editor before finding his true calling as a motorbike instructor. His focus now is instilling defensive riding into his students and promoting as many DocBike initiatives as possible with the awesome new Devon team.
Chris Robins
After a twenty-year break raising three children, Chris reignited her passion for motorcycling in 2014. She teaches at Exeter University and really enjoys riding Devon’s wonderful twisty roads. Unfortunately, she contributed to Devon’s accident statistics in January 2022, when she came off her bike. Now back on two wheels, she’s very interested in the research DocBike sponsors and the new information available on how to avoid accidents. Chris rides a Zero SR.
Cat McMorrow
Cat is a specialist critical care paramedic with Devon Air Ambulance and started flying with them in 2019. She has 14 years of frontline experience and completed her initial paramedic training in London. She has been riding bikes for over a decade and is passionate about accident prevention and equipping fellow bikers with the skills and knowledge to provide potentially life-saving first aid.
Gemma Butler
Gemma qualified as a paramedic in 2017 and has had lots of experience both on frontline ambulances and more recently working in two GP surgeries whilst working towards her Advanced Clinical Practitioner Masters. Gemma initially got into biking as a pillion on her fiancés Harley nearly three years ago, but since passing her bike test now rides a Harley Sportster S. Gemma chose to get involved with DocBike after a hard-hitting rehab story from a patient but also after hearing so many news reports of fatal or serious bike accidents in the South West. She feels passionate about working with the team to not only raise awareness but to be approachable and help teach other bikers how to stay safe whilst enjoying the freedom and fun that motorbiking brings!

Volunteer
Everyone involved with the charity is a volunteer, we do not employ a single person. We are always looking for new volunteers who can help, so whatever you’re good at and however much time you have, we would be delighted to hear from you!

Fundraise for us
With your commitment, enthusiasm, and support, we can help to save more lives. Whether you are part of business, a group or you would personally like to raise funds for DocBike, there are so many different ways that you can help us. Donate
No matter how big or small, we are extremely grateful for all donations received. Your support enables the charity to direct resources to stop bikers from having a collision in the first place and to kit out the response motorcycles with medical equipment, so that we can be there for fallen bikers when they are involved in a collision.
